LA BESTIA DE HATOREY

This article really shocked me!! How can such things happen? What a shame!!! Definitively the DE needs reorganization!!! Since a long time ago, our government has been proved to be inefficient in doing anything… what our government needs, is to subcontract the DE, so that a private agency can manage it. So the DE would be monitored, and avoid these awful things. We need an improvement; we’re not just dealing with our children’s education, but with the dreams of each one of them who want to become someone useful for tomorrow. I think now I understand why people calls it: “DE, the Monster”.

Hi!!

I really think this article “La Bestia de Hato Rey” was like reading politics corruption and other government scandals. Why does Puerto Rico have to deal with so much corruption? I really don’t understand why these situations are happening every single year. People working for important departments like it is working in the Department of Education should be remove to work as movie directors, creating cartoons and other fiction movies, this people have a lot of creativity, don’t you think so? What shock me was the issue that they even invent people to earn more money, and the problem is that schools have no sufficient helps to keep on moving and giving to our kids what is necessary for them to become someone in the future and to have the intellect that is necessary for them to be successful in their lives. Aren’t these people thinking that in a future some of these kids might be trying to help, but because of their poor education they just cant do anything? If the governor wants to eliminate criminals and want to eliminate corruption, he might have better results if he started removing all the people that are working in important departments as the department of education, and then eliminating himself because he might be the first in creating such a dishonest act.

The article "La Bestia de Hato Rey" from the newspaper El Nuevo Día is about some problems that have been found involving the Department of Education and that should bring forward the necessity of a reorganization of the department. The three problems that were mentioned in the article are really shocking because we notice that they are ocurring in one of the most important agencies of the government of Puerto Rico that deals directly with children's education.
The Department of Education should be reorganized so that everything that happens in it is well monitored and working towards the improvement of its services. The funds the department receives should be used for its goal which is a better education for the children and not for other uses. I think that by reorganizing the Department of Education there might be new ways so that the department works efficiently and the funds will be used for its main purpose. Everything that has ocurred should serve as a mind opener to everyone about the situations that happen in an important agency which is supposed to be working towards forming children's future and that for some reason is not working properly.
